Spread across 4 acres, it is also known as Dhamma Chakra Stupa. This monument is built with a massive whitewashed dome, and the Asia’s largest stupa. This grand construction was built in memory of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and there is also a marvelous bronze statue of Buddha with the Bodhi tree. As a result, this spot should never be missed!

This monument was constructed by the famous architect Sheo Dan Mal, and inaugurated by the President of India R.K. Narayan.

Sitabuldi Fort

Sitabuldi Fort, built on two hillocks in 1817, was the site of a battle and has witnessed many wars, particulary between the Kingdom of Nagpur and the British during the third Anglo-Maratha war. Popularly known for the war which was fought between Appasaheb and the British forces, in which the British forces eventually triumphed. Later, it was transformed into a formidable fort by the Britishers.

As a result it has grown its popularity, now it is one of the popular tourist places to visit in Nagpur. At present time, it is home to the Indian Army’s 188th infantry battalion. It is open to the public only on some occasions such as: January 26th, May 1st (Maharashtra Day), and August 15th.
